First released during the 20th century, the 2-8-8-4 models were a powerhouse division of locomotives and were some of the largest models ever introduced. These powerful models also known as the "Yellowstones" were built with larger fireboxes and longer cabs making them suitable for hauling tough freight like iron ore throughout the Northern railways in North America. Today only 3 remain in existence, and are all preserved in museums. Now you get to bring some history to your layout with this masterfully crafted and wonderfully designed brass HO replica!
